Criminal Justice
The B.S. in Criminal Justice program is designed to help you gain the skills and knowledge to prepare for a career in law enforcement, the justice system, corrections, homeland security, and social services. The program blends contemporary theory on the nature, extent, and cause of crime with the study of national and international criminal justice practices. Learning is supported through coursework and a final capstone project. Plus, the program uses the latest interactive media, including lifelike, computer-generated scenarios from crime scenes.

Enrollment Advisor
As your primary contact when you inquire about Walden, your enrollment advisor will spend time understanding your educational goals, answering your specific questions and guiding you through the application and admissions process. Your enrollment advisor will respond quickly and knowledgeably to your requests and make sure that you have a smooth transition to Walden’s student support team.

Financial Aid Counselor/Financial Counselor
You have a number of options for funding your education. If you apply for federal financial aid, a financial aid counselor will work with you to explain the process and complete the paperwork. Financial counselors in the bursar’s office can help you with payment plans, employer tuition assistance and other options.

Online Customer Service
Unique to Walden, online advisors ease your transition to the online classroom with great customer service. They provide technical support and ensure that you have a trouble-free and rewarding learning experience. Through a user-friendly software orientation, they will familiarize you with Walden’s learning environment. Once you begin your courses, they will serve as your personal guides, helping you navigate the online classroom.

Academic Advisor
As a new student, you’ll work with an academic advisor who specializes in your area to plan a Program of Study that matches your personal and professional interests. Your academic advisor will then monitor your progress through your program, assist you with university policies and procedures, and serve as your liaison with faculty members and staff in other Walden offices.

Faculty Members
Your professors will work with you to make course projects relevant to your daily responsibilities and your career goals. They will respond quickly to your questions and provide timely feedback on assignments. If you are having difficulty, faculty members will work closely with you to ensure your success.

Research Librarians
Through a partnership with Indiana University Bloomington’s library system, dedicated Walden librarians are available to assist you with your research. They will help you develop search strategies, identify and evaluate resources and receive books and journal articles through a document-delivery service.
